For Families – Vaccination Clinics if You Don’t Have a Doctor

The Health Unit provides immunization clinics at our Lindsay office at 108 Angeline Street South for residence who do not have a family doctor. Children vaccines are also available. All publicly-funded vaccines in Ontario are available at these clinics except for COVID-19 vaccines.

Reduced-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic - Port Hope Reduced Cost Rabies

The Reduced-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinics are intended to assist pet owners with financial challenges to ensure all animals have access to important immunizations.

Saturday, October 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00noon.

The cost is $40 per animal (unless otherwise specified), cash only. No appointments are needed, dogs must remain on a leash and cats must be in a secure carrier. Owners should bring proof of their pet’s most recent rabies vaccinations if available. These clinics do not include an examination of the pets. Owners are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their veterinarian to have their pet fully screened.

Food Handler Training - Lindsay Food Handlers Course

The Health Unit offers the in-person food handler training course in our Lindsay office at 108 Angeline Street South.  This course will teach participants how to handle and prepare food safely. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate (valid for a period of five years) indicating they are registered as a certified food handler.

Cost is $40 per person (test included). Pre-registration is required! Courses are one day in length and run from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Contact the Health Unit at 1-866-888-4577, ext. 5006, to pre-register or for more information.
